I think this is exactly what we need. I think we need a bit of a challenge, something to maybe spark us and something to get us going. This game is all about momentum, and right now we don't have it.

It was nice to hit the ball well. It's nice to have a four-hit game but I haven't changed anything. The only difference was that tonight the ball found some holes.

It's just great to see our starters going deep in games and our bullpen getting some confidence. Now, all we need to do is keep grinding, get some hitters back, and I think we'll be fine.

It's just good to get out there and get into game mode a little bit. When you do so much working out on the side like I have been, you can only get so much of that. It just doesn't compare to game situations.

With these young guys, we have the intensity we need. It's almost like we're 10 years old playing in Little League again, but winning's more important now. It's just a lot of fun in the clubhouse now before the game and after the game.

Same old Pedro he's been the last couple of years. He keeps you off balance. We had our chances, we just couldn't get any clutch hits.

Running away with it is the last thing we need to do. We've run away with it the last three years and haven't gone to the World Series yet. I think we get a little too caught up in winning the division. We always want to pat ourselves on the back ... for winning 13 in a row. Let's see how many World Series we can win in a row, or even get to.
guys learn losing maybe rest seems silly top worth year
To me, it's not worth losing one of your top guys and they can't play the rest of the year for a concert. It kind of seems silly to me. Maybe we can learn something from this.
felt nice road trip
That was a seven-game road trip and it really felt like two weeks. It's just nice to be home.
