I felt like we had a great spring. You are not sure how young people will respond after the excitement we had on January 4. People have talked to them about how great they are for a couple of months now and that is a dangerous thing for young student-athletes and I am really proud of the attitude this bunch has taken to continue to work. As you could see tonight they are very physical and it has been that way all spring.

Henry Melton made some really good, physical runs today and has a couple of other days as well. It will be a hard decision to see how much he plays defense compared to offense because we liked the way he looked (on offense). He's in better shape. He's running with lower pads. We're sitting here at 19 straight wins and there is a tremendous amount of pressure on kids and coaches to keep it going. And these guys have done it now for three straight years.

This will be the biggest test of getting them back and getting them ready to go because there will be less attention in this game (Oklahoma State) than there was the last three. I think they're enjoying the ride. We told them that you don't get into this position that many times in your lifetime, so you really need to enjoy it.

This team continues to impress us as a staff. Our guys were excited about this game. But we are still a work in progress and we have the ability to play much better than we have yet. If you don't play your best game and you are still able to score 52 points, you know you have a special team out there. This is such a great win for the Longhorns.
