best father goes happens husband life maybe sports sure
Don't let this be the best thing that ever happens in your life. Maybe it'll be the best sports event, but don't let it be the best thing. Make sure you're a better father than this today. Make sure you're a better husband than this today. Because this goes away. ... It's a game.
beat best college felt goal happened opportunity playing team year
We have an opportunity to beat the team that's been the best in college football. That's a goal that we set a year ago. We felt like we'd be back in this game, and we felt like we'd be playing SC in this game, and all of that has happened now.
asked happened kiss national somebody win
Somebody asked me if we win the national championship and he leaves, what will I do? I will kiss him. That hasn't happened yet.
happening odds people since talking year
Since the first of the year people were talking about this possibility, but they would tell you that the odds of it happening weren't very good.
bad few game happen happened inability last overcame run stop talk
When you have as many things happen bad as have happened the last few years, I thought that was one thing they had to overcome, ... And they did that, they overcame the talk about the turnovers in the game and their inability to run or stop the run.
chance coaches far food gives happen mean national since university
I think when I get through and I'm gumming my food, it will mean a lot ... As far as today, it would give these kids, these coaches and this university something we haven't done since we've been here. Secondly, it gives you a chance to play for a national championship and that doesn't happen many times in peoples' lives, if ever.
against earned enjoy fight fun game good great group happen helped hype kid nervous odds ohio position stadium state time totally understand unless walking week
It helped us understand that all of the hype around the game is totally unimportant unless you enjoy it. Don't fight it and don't get nervous about it: enjoy it. I had a great time the week of the Ohio State game. I had never been to that stadium and I was like a kid walking in there like a fan. It was fun for our group to have all the odds against us because that doesn't happen very much for us. And that's where we are again. We've earned the right to be here but the odds are against us. And that's a good position for us to be in.
athlete athletics great happens hear playing reads
He's not an athlete playing quarterback. He's a quarterback who happens to be a great athlete. He reads defenses as well as any quarterback in the country. You never hear about that part of his game.
asked bobby excited greatest happened life national second title tougher win
If you win the national title will it be the greatest thing that's ever happened in your life? No. I asked Bobby Bowden once, and he said the second national championship's a lot tougher than the first one, so don't get excited about it.
ball drives maturity move offense pass run throwing
We just need to move the ball, not necessarily run the ball. We've had seven-minute drives with Vince throwing it, so we know because of his maturity in the offense that we can move the ball with the run or the pass now.
defense proud run stop
We weren't real proud of our run defense. We'll try to stop the run first (against Baylor). If you can't stop the run, you've got problems.
awful chance cost mistake national win
I've told them if you get in trouble, you probably won't play. What an awful thing for you to make a 15-second mistake that cost yourself a chance to play or win a national championship.
athletic performance seen
I've never seen an athletic performance from a quarterback like Vince Young did tonight.
bill emotional football hall kansas kids miss nobody school state
It was very emotional for me. Football will miss Bill Snyder. More than that, the kids of Kansas State will miss him. He'll be in the Hall of Fame. Nobody will ever do for a school in football, in my estimation, what he's done for Kansas State.
