You never know what's going to happen ahead of you. You're kind of just throwing out things and situations knowing what you're going to do so when you get up there you can just go ahead and do it, you've planned it out.

It hit the end of my glove. It just sneaked out of there. I know he was trying to throw up and away. You obviously don't want to throw it there. You don't want him to get the barrel on the ball. But that's not where we lost the game. We lost the game by not scoring a run with Wes Helms leading off the seventh with a double.

I was looking for a pitch to hit. I had a chance to drive it. When I saw it go in the gap I thought maybe there would be a chance to score. Next thing you know, we win the game.

I went to that in '99, my last year of college (U of Nevada/Reno). It lets me see the ball better ... lets me see it with both eyes.

So far it's going good. I'm kind of getting used to the pitchers getting over (to cover first base), who gets over good and who doesn't and what kind of athletes they are.

That's expected, they've always been up top. That's fine. It matters where we finish. That's all that matters. We've got a team that can compete with them and do that. It's just a matter of going out and doing it.

That's always a concern when a guy like him goes down. We're going to have to overcome some things.
