We are bigger, faster and stronger than last year. Potential is often overused, but we have that this year. We are young up the middle and on the mound, but we could have an explosive lineup.

We played pretty good baseball Monday. We got some key hits and for the most part, good pitching.

Talent-wise, we could get back to that level. But character-wise, team-wise, do we have the moxie? Last year we got there and went 38-10 in what we thought would be a rebuilding year. That was reached due to the 'team' concept they believed in.

We didn't have a guy last season with the power that Brockman has; and Baker hit .600 last year in high school.

Our staff is young with just three sophomores among the 15 pitchers. But we have good depth and athletically we are better overall.

All are good defensively and I think we will get more offense from those positions than we did last year.

They are the best outfield we've had since I've been here. They are strong, both defensively and at the plate.
