games happy last moved past relieved road start state sure three utah washington winning
I'm happy that we moved up and can start a new streak. After winning our last three road games at Utah by 30 and at Washington State and Washington this past weekend, I wasn't sure if that was going to happen. I'm relieved to be back in the poll.
certainly developing game inside point
The inside game is certainly developing to the point where we have an inside game.
absolutely best boards courage following game hammered heart michigan overtime seen state sustain team
We just got absolutely hammered on the boards but Michigan State does that to a lot of people. I want to acknowledge the courage and the heart of that team following what I thought was the best preseason game I've ever seen to go to another overtime and be able to sustain that effort.
best buy deeper game influenced league maybe ourselves ready split washington
Washington and ourselves split and we went a game deeper in the league tournament. Maybe it is best to play 10 out of your first 11 at home. They say they're not going to be influenced by a team's record, but I'm not ready to buy that.
enjoy game invented missed playing
This game was invented to have fun. If you can't enjoy playing basketball, you've missed a lot.
games good history past swing turn
That's good that they have, because now it's our turn to swing it back the other way. All of those games have been competitive games. This is a new year, new team. ...I don't think past history is going to have anything to do with it, frankly.
both chris court ends game great instead looking shots
Chris had a great game at both ends of the court because he let shots come to him instead of looking for shots.
accomplish count developed game guys hoped inside man step
I hoped our inside game would have developed better. We have been very inconsistent there. We need a big man to step up and that is what we are going to try to accomplish this week, to get one of those guys so we can count on them to go in there and do the job.
game gotten
We still haven't gotten some of them. That's why we need to take this game and get better.
biggest bit change court driving four guys intent obviously offense open spent spread three time utilize
The biggest adjustments obviously have been the change from three guys out to four guys out. We've spent a lot of time on the offense and the intent of that is to spread the court a little bit more and open driving lanes to utilize their quickness.
ball certain chance
The ball is in Chris' court. There are certain things he is going to have to do. If he does them, there is a chance he can come back.
gives guards tough
That gives you an idea how tough our guards were on their perimeter guys.
bennett case coach gotten guys involved played since system three understand wants
They've played well ever since Dick Bennett has gotten there. It's been a case where guys have been involved (in the program) for two or three years. They understand the system and know they need to do the things coach wants them to do if they want to be successful.
drop sure top
I'm pretty sure we'll drop out of the top 35.
