bit early fighting fights-and-fighting pitcher runs score wake wild
We're fighting for the wild card. We have to get in there and try to get their pitcher out of the game. . . . You have to wake up a little bit and score runs early in the game.
field held inches middle played rain since sit six stood worst
We're not going to sit here and say (it was) the field or this or the rain or the cold, but that's the worst field I've played on since I was a little kid. I mean, when you stood in the middle of that field, you were in about six inches of mud. But, you know, so were they. And they held us today.
quarters
Hopefully, it won't take me two quarters to get going this time.
diamonds gold reason

battle cushion defense felt games gave great locked offense team three
We're a team and we go out there and we battle together, but when it comes down to it, the three games we lost, the defense let up at the end; we let them score. It felt great to go out there and really get them stopped. The offense gave us a great cushion and we locked them down.
needs
He needs one. He'll get one this season.
hard prepare worked
I worked hard. I have to prepare better.
He didn't want to give it to me. I was afraid.
