beat bright bunt exactly push seen spots total
I've seen a lot of bright spots this season. But when we execute, we can beat anyone. We could push the bunt down exactly where we wanted to, and this was just total execution.
again behind bunt carry changed defense game hit hopefully moving played putting runners weather
We didn't hit as well, but then again the weather changed a lot from our 3 p.m. game to our 7:30 p.m. game. We still executed well by putting the bunt down and moving runners over. So that's getting better. And our defense played well behind Erica. So hopefully those will carry over.
bat coming faster hard hitting looks pop strong surprise team worked
We're going to be a team that's going to surprise some people. Our hitting is coming around. We worked hard in the off-season to get strong and have faster bat speed. And so far, it looks like we have more pop in the bat this year.
center ended needed strikes
Hayley had two strikes on her, and I told her she needed to just center up. And she ended up with a double.
defense good gotten hitting hoping last spot surprise
Her hitting was her nemesis last year, but she still got to play good defense for us. She's gotten stronger, though, and she's been hitting in the No. 3 spot during the scrimmages. I'm hoping that she'll be a surprise with her bat.
against apart fell flower needed win
We needed this win after we fell apart against Flower Mound.
coffin games kept last nail problem score vital
She's going to be vital to us. She kept us in games last year, and she should have had more wins. But we just couldn't give it to her. Our problem was that we couldn't put the nail in the coffin because we couldn't score enough runs.
felt won
I felt like we should have won it the first time.
good win
It was a good pick-up for her, and it was a big win for us.
above comeback good heads players win
It was a big comeback win for us. To be on the road, it was good to come back and keep our heads above water. Our players were resilient.
difference strike
It makes a difference when you don't strike out.
ball needed
I told her we just needed a ball into the outfield.
ball came gave players runs stick
We gave them two runs that we shouldn't have. We came back and put the ball in play. And our short-ball players did their job. But the big stick players did nothing.
behind continue defense good mistakes playing surprise
As long as we're playing defense behind her, we're going to do OK. Erica was good with her rhythm, but we didn't make any mistakes behind her. If we continue to do this, we're going to surprise some people.
