defense eager passion pitching played pleased start
We played well from the start of the first game. We were eager to play and we played with passion from the start. I was very pleased with our pitching and our defense was solid.
ball hit needed
We hit the ball well all night. We just could not get the big hit when we needed it.
hits moving people playing softball solid
Offensively, we are playing very solid softball - getting people on, moving them over, and getting the big hits when we need them.
although defense hit needed people solid
The things we've been doing well, we didn't do well today. The defense wasn't as solid and although we put a lot of people on base, we couldn't get the big hit when we needed it.
awhile played runs since three
Since we have not played in more than a week, I thought it would take awhile to get our motors going but we scored two runs in each of the first three innings.
competition early season strong
We did not play as well as I had hoped. But the competition was strong and we know what we have to do to get back to our early season form.
ball continued hitting season
We've been hitting the ball well all season and that continued today.
defense pitchers played three
We played well on defense and all three pitchers were solid.
ball behind defense great pitchers plate played solid
Our pitchers were great today. They put the ball over the plate and we played solid defense behind them.
lauren
Lauren pitched well in the first game. We just could not get our motors going on offense.
aggressive both chance good lauren tournament val
This was a good way to end the tournament for us. We were very aggressive at the plate. Everyone got a chance to play. We got outstanding performances from both Lauren (Hyland) and Val (Hackett).
both defense good key natalie pitching runs save three
Our defense was key - Natalie Hackett had three big catches to save us runs in both games. Our pitching was not as sharp, but it was good enough to keep us in the game.
