We dug ourselves a hole, and we tried to dig ourselves out of it. We kept it close until late, but they didn't give up a lot. Our passing was awful and our shooting was worse.

At certain times, he's trying to do too much with the puck. He finished the season as our leading scorer. He wants dearly to be the guy that's being counted on. Through that, he's tried to make plays that turned into individual plays. It's nothing more than that.

I thought they were our best line. I tried to get them more ice time. I thought they came out at the start of the third period and set the tone. They did what they needed to do. They put in a very determined effort and played a pretty smart, physical game for us.
