few games gods hockey
Big sense of relief. In these games the hockey gods have to be with you. You have to get a few bounces.
decided four games guys handle hurt minute playoff series three wear
In a long series, they're going to wear down all our old guys. I think our young guys can handle a long series. You look around at every playoff series, they're not decided in three games and they're usually not decided in four games. Not for a minute do I think a long series will hurt our team.
deserved games good night period second talked team ways
After the second period we talked about that to be a good team we had to find ways to get back into games like this. And at the end of the night we deserved to win.
again chances concern continue creating games last number playing shots three
The last three games we got three points. Our concern is we want to continue playing well. The number of chances we're creating again and shots we're getting is the game we want to play.
advantage balanced built four games ice plays schedule team
Everybody's schedule is tough. I think we have one of the toughest. I don't know if there's another team that plays 17 games in 30 days. But I think the advantage we have built in is we've utilized four lines. We've been a pretty balanced team when it comes to ice time.
adversity battling check credit games guys key number quit room stepped won
There's no quit in our team. Check our record, the number of games we've won when we've been down by a goal. You've got to give the guys credit. The number of guys we've had go out of the lineup at key times and the number of guys who have stepped up ... you've got to give every guy in that room credit for battling through adversity and doing it every night.
further games intensity lots prepare types
There's lots of intensity in those games. Those types of games prepare you for going even further on.
against almost asked case chose few games happened hold instead last league level near occasions past players playing point practicing seen several staying
I've asked him on several occasions to go and play, more for just staying ready. Instead of practicing here, go play. But that's happened in the past where players have chose not to go. I don't hold that against them. They almost feel that practicing at this level is better than playing at the American League level. I've seen a few American League games and it isn't near what it was last year. So there may be a case in point for that.
games good help moved people perceive player rest type ups win
Some people may perceive it as he's moved down the ladder, but he's had a good season. He's had his ups and downs. I still think he's progressing as a player. He's the type of player who will help us win games the rest of the way.
games quit winning work
You can't get much hotter. We work hard, we don't quit and we're winning games in a lot of different ways.
winning games like-you
It's north and south pole. When you win you feel great, but when you lose it, it's like you've lost 10 games in a row.
bigger elevated evident looking offer played players
The one thing that's evident is that when some players got elevated in bigger roles, they've played even better. I still think there's players that have more to offer in a bigger role. They're always looking for a bigger role, and now they get their opportunity.
When challenged, he was flopping around like a half-dead fish.
areas bit consistent defensive game looking offense penalty pitch pressure relieve
We need to do more offensively. If we're better offensively it will relieve a little bit of the pressure on our goaltenders so that they don't always have to pitch a one-goal game for us to get points. Our penalty killing and defensive play has always been strong, so more offense and more consistent goaltending are the two areas we are looking to improve.
