allowing balls bit coming definitely game great happy harder inside obviously overall together
The balls were definitely coming a little bit harder and deeper, ... She wasn't really allowing me to be inside the baseline as much as I was in the first set. I didn't play a great game to get broken, but overall I got it back together at the end and obviously I'm happy to come out with a victory.
definitely next quicker start
I'm definitely going to have to do something to try to get off to a quicker start in the next match,
chance confidence definitely early gave looking plays second
I had the chance there after the first set, she wasn't looking so good. I definitely let her back in early in the second and gave her some confidence and when she has confidence, she plays really well.
definitely gets older playing tougher
I started playing tournaments at 15 and I'm 29 now. It definitely gets a lot tougher as you get older and older.
ability against best definitely knew played tough
It was a really tough match. I knew she definitely had the ability to be dangerous, and that was the best that she's played against me.
definitely held hoped matches test
I really wanted to come in here and kind of test my back and play matches and see how everything held up. This definitely went better than I could have hoped or expected.
coming definitely grand players seeing seven six younger
We definitely are seeing more and more players coming through. A lot of the younger players are doing well. Now there are six or seven players who could take a Grand Slam.
allowing balls bit broken coming definitely difference felt game great happy harder inside obviously overall played second together
I think the difference in the second set was once I got broken to 2-2 I felt like she played with a little bit more confidence, ... The balls were definitely coming a little bit harder and deeper. She wasn't really allowing me to be inside the baseline as much as I was in the first set. I didn't play a great game to get broken, but overall I got it back together at the end and obviously I'm happy to come out with a victory.
compete court definitely exciting force four grand slam three winners
It definitely would make it more exciting if three of the four Grand Slam winners were here. You can't force someone to go out on the court when they don't feel like they want to compete at this level.
bigger challenge great occasion presents returning sure
I'm sure it will be a great, great atmosphere, ... It presents a bigger challenge and a bigger occasion being in Switzerland, for her. I'm really going to have to concentrate on returning serve.
best conditions improve plays second settle took
I'm never one that necessarily plays their best right off the bat. It took a little while to settle into the conditions and how Rika plays, but I do feel I started to improve some things in the second set.
ball best despite knew playing striking win
I knew it would be tough, ... I didn't feel I was playing my best or striking the ball that well, but I still managed to win despite the circumstances.
break felt knew played rusty trying
I knew I'd be rusty and trying to find my rhythm. I felt I got a break at 4-4 in the first set. After that, I played calmer and more consistent.
chances knew
I knew that if it wasn't in two sets, that my chances were significantly reduced.
