both felt second sloppy win
Both of us got a little sloppy in the second set. It felt really tiring. I felt like I got to win in two sets.
both felt
I felt like we both got a little sloppy,
both discussion effort goes huge parts progress sacrifice takes work
That's our relationship. We're both very motivated, strong-willed people. It takes a huge effort and sacrifice on both our parts to make everything work, and it's always a work in progress and a discussion and everything that goes with that.
bags both carried discussion effort extremely goes huge job parts progress quit sacrifice takes together work
It's extremely difficult, but we couldn't have it any other way. I don't think we'd be together if he just quit his job and carried my bags around the tour. That's our relationship. We're both very motivated, strong-willed people. It takes a huge effort and sacrifice on both our parts to make everything work, and it's always a work in progress and a discussion and everything that goes with that.
again beginning both downs dropped few good level lots match missed second settled start stepped strange ups
It was a strange match with lots of ups and downs from both of us. I started off really well, but from 3-all in the second set, I missed a few and she stepped it up. I got off to a good start at the beginning of the third, and I think that settled the matter. Her level dropped again and I was able to take advantage.
against asked bothered felt final heart hurt injury people played terrible totally venus wimbledon wish
It was a terrible match. People asked me if I was hurt (the residue of a back injury that bothered her during the Wimbledon final against Venus Williams). I wish I could say that. Unfortunately, I felt fine. At Wimbledon, I played my heart out and played really well and I totally got beat. Against Elena, I felt a lot of it had to do with me.
both difficult emotional extremely goes good hard looking looks match might playing predict venus win
Venus looks like she's playing really well, ... I don't even know what to say when they play each other. It must be so hard that it's pretty hard to predict who will win that match. But If Venus comes through that match, I think that she's looking pretty good up there. This could be just an extremely difficult match and (must be) emotional for her, or it might not be. I don't really know what goes into it for both of them.
both funny happened hardly preferred summer works
I think both of us would have preferred to be able to play the whole summer and see then what would have happened but both of us have hardly played, ... It's funny how that works out.
good mess opponent people seen situations
I've seen people come back from these situations before and she's a good opponent and I didn't want to mess around.
bit demanding great loss today toughest worn
I still feel a little worn down, ... It was a great but demanding two weeks. I started to feel a bit better today but getting over a loss like that is probably the toughest thing you have to do.
definitely gets older playing tougher
I started playing tournaments at 15 and I'm 29 now. It definitely gets a lot tougher as you get older and older.
bit time
I sprained it a little bit the other day. It was just a little bit swollen. ... I kind of jammed it on one shot. Hopefully, it will have a little time to get better.
dealt injuries optimistic past worse
I've dealt with much worse injuries and things in the past so I'm pretty optimistic that it will heal.
concern fortunate injury last six weeks
I've been really fortunate in the last six weeks that I haven't had an injury that has hampered my preparation. It's been a concern in the past.
