We haven't made any final decision on it and it's a very tough one. I think it's more of a preoccupation with the media and the fans more than anybody, because we're going to end up looking at both of them for quite a while. It could go into the (Howard Payne) game (Sept. 10).

D-line was one pretty key area for us. We think we got four good ones at defensive tackle.

There's not as many this year, but that's OK. We've done well locally in the past and will continue to.

We came of age today. We were able to put points on the board and our defense played very well, especially in the second half.

We've got some places in mind, and I don't want to talk about them yet. ... As far as Winona State, I can't say, but we would favor that over a high school field in La Crosse.

With both quarterbacks, their vision is exceptional right now. They're getting the ball to the guy who's open. We'll see how it all plays out.

It's a sacrifice for an outstanding facility. Our players are resilient, and I don't foresee it as a problem.

It's an unusual situation because we've had a few years where teams have been interested. We haven't had any calls on our seniors this year. But I think we'll have some guys get looked at next year.
belt game motivation ready start thinking win
We have a win under our belt now and we're going to start thinking about Point. It doesn't take much motivation to get ready for a game like that.
defensive good needs position tough
We addressed our needs on the line, especially at defensive tackle, and that's good because it's a tough position to recruit.
conference deal feeling motivated obviously people playoffs season sorry win wish
A lot of people are making a big deal of (the layoff) and obviously we wish we had one more game. But, we're going into our conference season motivated and healthy. We know the only way to get into the playoffs is to win our league. So I'm done feeling sorry for myself for not having 10 games. Let's get going and play ball.
harder lining positions teams
They know all the positions and that makes it harder for teams to know who's lining up where.
exciting games good kinds la respond seem team week
They're a very good team and so are we. This is going to be a real exciting week for La Crosse football. We've been in these kinds of games a lot and we seem to respond well.
