I haven't seen him drop one. Not one.
mother motivates personal playing says
I have to get mad. It has to be personal to me. It has me playing the best. Even my mother says it: 'If you're not out there jawing, you're not playing tough.' It motivates me getting into it with people.
He's our enforcer. That's just the way it is.
game happy kept meals saying
He said all the meals will be on him when we get there. After the game he was so happy he kept saying 'yes, yes' to everything.
asked bowl crashing fun game learn party stuff super until wait willie worry
I asked Willie about the nightlife, and he said wait until after the game to worry about stuff like that. He said he had a lot of fun there before, but ... his party went crashing down on Super Bowl Sunday. He doesn't want us to go through the same thing, and we're not going to. There's a lot to learn from him.
east knows reputation tougher west
I'm going to get after him; he knows that. I'm from the East Side, and we have the reputation of being tougher than the West Side.
feels forward game heard looking lose playing win worse
I'm looking forward to playing in a game like this, and being that it's in my hometown, that makes it even better. We just have to go there and win it now. You don't want to go all this way and lose because I heard it feels worse to lose in this game than it does if you didn't make it at all.
came career coach finger game guys learned physical pointing remind time took woke
The guys always remind me of that. I wasn't ready. I think it was more physical but that was a long time ago. I learned a lot. That was the first time ever in my career in any sport that a lot of finger pointing came my way. Coach Cowher took me out of the game and that was something new for me but that woke me up. That day probably made me become a professional.
both difference hard left sure
The difference between me and a lot of my friends who never left the 'hood' were my parents. Both were hard on me. They were strict. They made sure I did things right.
against bad best game played ready send
Am I surprised? Yeah, because it was my first game against the Patriots and I played a lot. They send me a lot (in a blitzing role) and I'll just do the best I can. It's too bad that Kendrell's down ... but I think I'm ready mentally.
applause call career deserves earned great happy hero honors
I'm from Detroit, but I haven't had the great career that he has. He deserves all of the applause and honors that he's been getting. He's always been a hero of mine. He's earned this. What did he call it other day? A dream? I know it is, and that's why everybody's happy for him.
