Larry Edward Cokeris an American football coach and former player. From 2001 to 2006, Coker served as the head coach at the University of Miami. His 2001 Miami team was named the consensus national champion after an undefeated season that culminated with a victory in the Rose Bowl over Nebraska. If a player wants to be the man, this might not be the place for him. It's very competitive here; that's one thing the NFL people like so much, ... You tend to reach your potential here more often than in other places, no doubt about it.

This year we don't have as many high-profile guys, ... but there's some really good players here that, because they're coming out of this program, NFL people will take a very hard look at and maybe draft, where at another program maybe they wouldn't get drafted.

It's got to be an NFL mentality. This is probably not a 9 yards to the right, touchdown to the left, type game. I hope it is from our standpoint, but we've got to have positive plays and not turn the ball over and realize sometimes a punt is not the worst thing that can happen.

I think we are unique, ... If I'm a kid I'd say 'Let's see, I've got great weather, great facilities, I've got a chance to play in the NFL and I am going to graduate and I've got a chance to play for the national championship.'

I've really been encouraged with Frank and what he's done. He's having a lot of fun and playing with a lot of confidence. I really see more confidence in his knees now than I did a year ago. From what I've seen, unless there's a major setback, I don't see any reason why he wouldn't play.

It was a little spirited today. It gets hot and tempers flare a little bit.
body covering good great guy pleasantly smaller surprised switching
I've been pleasantly surprised with him. He's done a great job. I thought he could be a good player, but the way he handles his body ... he's a big guy and he's out there switching his hips, being able to maneuver, covering smaller receivers. I've been very impressed.
It would have been a storybook drive. But you have to finish.
