The guys are going to be excited about it. I told them to listen to the announcements or pick up a copy of the paper if they wanted to know how they did. I think we showed a lot of strength. There's some things I'm not pleased about. The 4-by-100-meter relay needs to get their act together.

Thomas was just hundredths of seconds away. Thomas is new to track, but he's making strides.

Ben has been training, next to Devin, the hardest. I don't know what's gotten into him, but I hope it stays there for three weeks.

On any given day one of those three are going to be second. I was real pleased the way Charles Myers ran right with them today. Tim Smith was there too. I hate losing those seniors, but next year we'll have Tim Smith and freshman Steven Reynolds.

She had a terrible start, she fell out of the blocks. She was dead last coming out of the blocks, but she has amazing turnover.

I was helping the rest of the folks in the neighborhood to evacuate some of the elderly and the handicapped, and we got separated.

Stephen didn't do as well as he would have liked. John and Jackson both performed well.

It gives us an opportunity to do something in the district. It's been too long. I don't think there's been another team here at the high school that's had that kind of drought.
fun learned race setting start track
The 1,600-meter race was fun to watch. On a 200-meter track there was a lot of jostling for position. Devin has learned to start better so he was setting the pace.
excited personal reach record
That was a personal record for Leslie. She was really excited to reach that height.
charles finish guys last pass preaching race
That's the two guys he let pass him in the last race. Charles has really been working on his finish, I've been preaching that to him. It's how do you finish your race.

We need more opportunities to have input. It's more fun if they can participate.
