alter game good guys hard plan played stepped
We did have to alter our game plan a little bit, but not a whole lot. I think guys stepped up and played hard and did a good job.
good low river
The only good thing I can say is the that river was low going into today,
bridge came far gone good moved moving shifted thoughts
We've all got to be good at moving on in this business. I've moved on. Sure, I was disappointed with the way things went. But I came out here and shifted my thoughts and concentrated on doing well out here. That's all gone under the bridge as far as I'm concerned.
downs happens ups
We started out like gangbusters. We were really clicking, but as what happens in every game, there are ups and downs and ebbs and flows.
downs happens ups
We started out like gangbusters, ... We were really clicking, but as what happens in every game, there are ups and downs and ebbs and flows.
guys
We showed a lot of character, ... We should have won. But I don't think our guys are going to go in the tank.
blink came happy kept throw
We didn't blink and just kept playing. It was one of those where you throw it and go, 'Oh ....' Those things are going to happen, and I was happy how I came back.
comfort defense dropped good passes whether
Whether it is the dropped passes or the interception I threw, they are a good defense and make you do some things to take you out of your comfort zone.
behind defense eight front line mixed played seemed third type
They mixed up their front line a lot. We got behind the eight ball, especially in the third quarter. It seemed like we played into their hands, but that's the type of defense they play, and they played it tonight.
certainly guys people putting three trying
They had some people on him. I was certainly trying to go his way. They were putting two or three guys on him.
against dropped good half hurt mistakes passes penalties team whether
They're a good team and you can't make mistakes against them, whether it's dropped passes or interceptions before the half or penalties that hurt us.
anyone hurting neck rich says smartest tremendous week
That's what Rich Gannon 's all about. After he got hurt, he was still in the meetings, he was there. His neck was hurting but he was still a part of it and really wanted us to be successful. That pretty much says it all about him. He's one of the smartest quarterbacks I've ever been around. ... I don't think there's anyone better than Rich Gannon . He showed that week in and week out the way he played, too. He was a tremendous competitor.
ball good job mix parts rid rushing sound throw
They do a good job rushing the passer, ... It's one of the least talked-about parts of their defense. They mix fronts and give you a sound rush ... I wanted to get rid of the ball (on the interception), throw it away, but I got hit.
against awesome best front full guys hands hurt kinds learn mistakes next penalties team
There was pressure, no doubt. The guys up front had their hands full and they did the best they could. The Patriots have an awesome defense. What hurt was all the penalties we had. You can't have those kinds of penalties or turnovers against a team like that. But hopefully, we can learn from our mistakes and straighten things out next week.
