ball happen passing plugging reason run successful whatever
To be successful in this league, you have to run the ball and for whatever reason we haven't been able to. I can't tell you why. It's like the passing game. Sometimes you feel in a groove, like the other day, and it just happens. You can't want it to happen, you have to make it happen and keep plugging and be persistent. We just haven't been able to do that.
couple game good last obviously order reason running successful weeks whatever
Our running game we started out pretty strong. We've had some good games. The last couple weeks obviously it's not what we wanted it to be. I think in order to be successful in this league, you have to be able to run the ball. For whatever reason we just haven't been able to. I can't tell you why.
forward great heck hitting holes job line offensive opening runs time
I think the offensive line did a heck of a job opening it up. Willis did a great job of hitting the holes and he was always going forward today. There were not many runs where he was going back. Every time he was getting hit, he was going forward.
kids liked neat run
I just had some the other night, ... That was pretty neat (my own mustard and sauce). My kids liked it. I'm about to run out, though.
field
You have to know where he is on the field.
happened hit took
You get hit a lot, and that's what happened today. They pretty much took it too us. We didn't play well in any phase.
eric everybody field lee mark player tried
Every player on the field is important, ... I think that's what we tried to do the other day (vs. Miami), get everybody involved. We got Eric (Moulds) and Lee (Evans) involved, which we hadn't been able to do so far, and getting Mark (Campbell) and Willis (McGahee) some catches, the more you can do as an offense, the better off you'll be.
camp friends-or-friendship kid looking nfl playing season training wanting
Every little kid sits in the sandlot playing with his friends and wanting to be an NFL quarterback. That's what this training camp was about, and that's what this season will be about -- just going out there and going for it. I know getting here hasn't been easy, but looking back, I wouldn't have it any other way.
couple protection
We had some protection problems, and a couple of times they got us on schemes.
coffin final nail played slip
We let one slip away from us, ... We played really well offensively. But we do have to put the final nail in the coffin when you've got them down.
again ball beat hurt moving season
We can't beat ourselves. It's just frustrating. We get down there, moving the ball and then something happens. ... It's just been killing us all season and it hurt us again tonight.
ball defender eric flat good hammered hit ran route saw second window
We put that in all week. I had to hit him in the second window (deeper in the end zone). I thought the flat defender would come down when he saw the ball fake, but he didn't. Eric ran a good route and didn't get hammered at the line, and I hit him in the second window.
beat chance definitely gave good leaves nobody taste won
Nobody gave us a chance to beat these guys. We hadn't won on the road. It definitely leaves a good taste in your mouth.
last ourselves won
We've won the last two. We've got ourselves back to .500.
