Keith Freemanis an assistant coach of the women's basketball team at Wright State University. He is the former head women's basketball coach at Valparaiso University. I felt like we got great play out of our entire team.

UMKC does a lot of the same things that Notre Dame does, but they've got less athleticism and more 3-point shooting. We're going to have to make some adjustments in the way we guard them.

We wanted to control Megan Duffy, we wanted to keep Notre Dame off the foul line, but we did not stop the high-low game.

It's nice to be able to see what some of those kids can do when they have a little bit of extended time. We haven't had a game like this in a while.

It'll help us on Friday to play on Wednesday. We're able to get rid of some of whatever our layoff created. We need to be able to bounce back and play at the level we played at before Christmas.

It's a hard trip, so to be able to come back and play like we did was good.

What we tried to do in the second half was pick up the pace. The more we tried to go get 'em, the worse it got. We tried hard. We need to play them a different way.

We worked the ball because they were clogging up the middle. We got a lot of open looks. With Lauren, Carrie and Jamie on the floor it's hard to guard all three 3-point shooters. We got open 3s and made enough of them.

They're certainly the best team I've seen out of Western in terms of character from top to bottom.
campus cancelled dame played players problems rather time today
After so much time off, I would rather have played today than practiced. We had some of the same problems Notre Dame did with getting players back to campus because of cancelled flights.
