best defense district fell gave girls good hard hits learned needed ours played team timely year
We gave every team in district our best game, but their hits fell in, and ours didn't. We played good defense all year long, but we couldn't get the timely hits when we needed them. The girls learned the hard way, and it's just one of those things.
came couple hits missed needed ours timing
They just came up with the big hits when they needed it and we missed out on a couple of opportunities to score. It all had to do with timing and ours was a little off.
again ball base both games girls high hit hits last played proud several texas three took tough undefeated
Texas High is undefeated for a reason, and I'm very proud of our girls for how tough they played them both times. We've hit the ball well the last three games after being in a slump, but their shortstop once again took away several base hits from us.
arm ball blow cannon catcher drop felt innings knew might needed nine opportunity situations taken
That's one of those situations where if you take a chance, you could blow it just as easily. If I had another opportunity and knew it was going to go nine innings I might have taken the chance, but I felt their shortstop had a cannon for an arm and that the catcher would have needed to drop the ball for us to score.
bearing good playing team
We just have to keep bearing down and playing hard. We're too good of a team not do that that.
