Kate Marie Ziegleris an American competition swimmer who specializes in freestyle and long-distance events. Ziegler has won a total of fifteen medals in major international competition, including eight golds, five silvers, and two bronze spanning the World Aquatics and the Pan Pacific Championships. I wasn't really working too hard tonight. I just wanted to go out and work the walls a little bit and just feel good.

We came over right before they closed the pool, so I did some extra stretching. We had other things we could do, so I didn't let it affect me.

Coming into this meet, I didn't have high expectations. I was just coming in here to have a good time. I did everything I wanted to do, and I was pretty happy with how it turned out. It was beyond what I expected.
