I like to be on TV when interviewers are good. I like it especially when it's live. When they can cut things, I don't like it as much. Sometimes they cut something and say, "Well, you would get in trouble, you would get a lawsuit." I tell them, "Well, I don't want my lawyers to be unemployed.
I sketch in a way that people can nearly do the dresses without me coming in for a fitting. Every single detail, every proportion, every cut -- everything.
I am a black diamond, unfaceted. Black diamonds are rare, hard to cut, and therefore uncommercial.
I like the discipline of well-cut, impeccable clothes. I think it's a very healthy discipline.
Clothes if they are not well cut, you can kill nobody. A building poorly built can kill people. It's a much more difficult work. I would not compare myself with that.
It's very soft, and it's all a little shiny,
The inside is all very refined with tons of details that make it very expensive.
Everything is about cut. But worse than couture cuts. The dresses from far away, you think that it is a little T-shirt. And then you get near to it, you are scared by the craftsmanship put into that dress.

My family is from there. I thought it was my moment in time to show a little of what this part of Europe is all about -- the poetry, the inspiration, the art and the spirit and the feeling of that area.
Maybe there's a little '70s touch, ... One has to find something,
It's all about feminine, fluid, bright colors for the prints. Lots of prints. It's very feminine in a neo-romantic mood, but at the same time very simple. And sometimes, to make it not too soft and too sweet, there are all those flowers and colors.
It's the revival of color, movement, liberty. It's fashion with less intellectual pretension. It's very down-to-earth and not at all up-to-the-moon.
This is what I think is modern. It's like wearing a couture jacket with a pair of jeans.
