blocking goal green laying running saw team
Just green and daylight. My team was blocking and laying it on the line. I saw them running with me, so it was my goal to get into the end zone.
class demand lack product
There's just a lack of good, Class A product out there. But the demand is there.
home root
You always have to root for the home team.
defense faster pressure realized scared stepped throw throwing
We realized that when he had pressure he got scared with the ball. He'd throw it real fast. The defense stepped it up a lot. That's why I have to really give congrats to the D line. They stepped it up a whole lot. We were able to get pressure on him and he started getting it off faster and started throwing interceptions.
love strong together work
We have a strong defense. I love our defense. We work together as a team, like a family.
compete felt guys
I felt I could compete with the guys on this level.
bit needs retail
There is a lot of retail being built, but there still needs to be a little bit more, ... and that's going to take some time.
pulling
You have to be pulling for Bettis. It's a storybook scenario.
everybody fans fly front great hang hotel instead stay takes time
It?s fun, but at the same time it kind of drains you pretty good. Having to fly and stay in a hotel and everything, it takes a lot out of you. At the same time, it?s fun, too, to go and hang out with all the guys, but it was great to play in front of a lot of your own fans instead of a lot of everybody else?s fans.
behind coming definitely expected few freshman good innings maybe plate start
It was definitely a surprise. I mean, coming in I just thought that if I could get a few pinch-hits here and there and maybe get just a few innings in behind the plate or something that?d be a good freshman year. But I never expected to start or anything like that.
ball defense defensive outside played scared secondary short stepped throwing
They had me scared there on the first two drives. They were throwing the ball short to their halfback (Jason Hampton) and he was real fast. Once he got on the outside and into the secondary he's gone. But our defense stepped it up. Our defensive backs, linebackers and safeties played real well.
broken figured mitt sort team
I was lost. I had never broken in a first baseman?s mitt and there was no one on the team who could tell us. After a while, we sort of figured it out.
catch lack
It was just a lack of concentration, ... I?ve got to catch the ball.
expensive
I feel at times it's a little more expensive than it has to be.
