bit competition credit finishing good name performance pleased season tight
I am really pleased with the season this year. I feel I have established better credit to my name and feel I am more consistent. My hamstring was a little bit tight about 20 meters to the finishing line, but it was a good race, I think my performance was good, the competition was great.
again gives good local next satisfied track
I am satisfied with the race, especially the track and the local fans. Shanghai gives me a very good impression. I will come here again next year.
came equal fast game good ran running sean technical
Leonard Scott ran a very good technical race, Sean Crawford came through easily, everybody's running really fast and times are pretty much equal in the first round. So everybody's going to have to come out and put their game on.
good grab grip guys held nerves obviously onto stadium stick stuck taking
I just thought it was a little nerves from the start; a lot of these guys have never raced in a stadium that big. Leonard stuck out his hand. Mardy held onto the stick tight, a little too tight. Leonard went to grab it and obviously had a good grip on it, and he was taking it out of Mardy's hand, and Mardy still wouldn't let go.
announcer audience good goose lane patient playing switched three wrong
They were playing duck, duck, goose with the lanes. They couldn't find out who was in Lane 3 or Lane 7 or Lane 8, so they switched it around. Then the announcer called it with the wrong lanes, so they switched it around again. They did that about three times. But the audience was patient, we were patient and we put on a good show.
boundaries good man
I am working on my start, once I have a good start, I think I can go to boundaries that no other man has been to.
key michael people records success
When you look at people like Carl Lewis, Michael Johnson, Maurice Greene, the key to their success was not world records - it was their dominance,
fast strong
With a fast track, right conditions, and strong competition.
debating focus heads looking people putting year
Most people would be debating in their heads what to do in a year like this. It is all about preparation and I am just looking at putting out superb times. All I have to do this year is focus on my race.
greatest guys however
Maurice is one of the greatest competitors in the world. However this is a new era, the young guys are coming.
best mentally physically
Mentally and physically I am the best sprinter.
came dreams gold guys icing job obviously sorry win
My job was to come out here and get the 100 and 200 gold medals. That's what I did. The (relay) was icing on the cake. Obviously there's no icing now, but I feel sorry for the guys who came here with dreams to win a medal. ... They didn't get that chance.
beaten course record threatened wish
Of course I wish Asafa had run, ... I think the world record would have been threatened if he was there, and I think I would have beaten him.
certain countries egos people point proven reliable run stick team themselves
One thing we don't have that other countries have is discipline, ... You have egos that get in the way, people who want to run certain legs, or who feel they should be on the team when they haven't proven themselves to the point where they're reliable enough to get the stick around.
