I always looked really young. I matured pretty late.
I hang out with a lot of older people, so I've matured a little bit, but I do still have my immature side.
I feel like, If I would have lived in my hometown, I probably would have gotten in a lot more trouble. I was just in places where I could have gotten in trouble. I skateboarded a lot, just getting into the wrong stuff. I could've just hung out with the wrong friends.
I would consider my music like, pop-R&B. So it can reach a lot of people. Pop is popular music. That's what it stands for. So I'm just making music that I know that I like, I know other people will like, and my fans will like.
I'm not into screamo music, but I respect it. It's hard to do, to keep your voice and stuff like that. It's hard to do, so I respect the music. It's just not my favorite to listen to. That's all I want. I just want people to respect me as an artist.
I don't own a jet, but I rent jets in my spare time. That's the quickest and most comfortable.
If I grew up with a lot of money, where everything was just handed to me, I feel like those are the people that, a lot of time, grow up to do worse things. Or they'll start in a business really young, like eight or something, through all their schooling.
I was interesting in discovering more about [Elizabeth Taylor], and I always tried to focus more on the woman than the legend or the icon and everybody's own individual version of what that is. She was badass! Really strong. And eccentric and fiery and powerful and clear and blunt. Spoke like a sailor. She was extreme, but she had the ability to love again and again and again and still believe in it every time.

I don't know that I've seen a lot of things I've done from beginning to end. I think I've seen clips and freaked out. I'm not somebody who watches things they've done.

I play drums and guitar. My best instrument is definitely drums, so I'm featured a lot on the album drumming. It's pretty futuristic as well.
I just want to be the biggest artist that I can be, and I want to make a difference. I feel like Michael (Jackson) made a difference with everything that he did. He was so charitable and just always on-point. I just want to be where he is, as an artist.
Why would I give up so much to just be another singer or another person doing what he loves? I'm out here doing everything to the best of my capability to be the best.
