african baseball certainly definitely feeling good numbers playing programs seeing solve special
It's certainly not a good feeling seeing our numbers going down the way they are. I definitely want to see more African Americans playing in baseball again. Hopefully, we can come up with more special programs to solve this problem.
bad base baseball expect shows speed three
I haven't been getting on base as much as I'd like to be. This shows that speed can play a part. You don't expect three bad pickoff throws. You see something new in baseball every day.
bases couple raw speed steal
He probably could get away with it for a couple of years, just being that fast. He is still young. The more he plays, the better he will get at it. He could probably just go out there with his raw speed right now and steal 30, 40 bases without even trying.
believe luck people
I still don't think people believe in us. People want to think we're lucking it up on things. That's all right. We'll luck it up all the way through the World Series.
everybody knows matter
Everybody knows he's going to be special. It's just a matter of time.
bad loss ready realize tomorrow
We realize this was a bad loss tonight, and we've got to come out tomorrow ready to play,
ball move
We just didn't move the ball offensively, we just didn't get it done. We didn't get on base. We didn't really do anything today.
ball fall looked wheels
From the stands, it looked we had everything in hand. All of a sudden, a ball here and a ball there and the wheels fall off,
care fans help rather team unnoticed whether win
I don't care about that stuff. I'd rather go unnoticed anyway. As long as I help the team win and get to the World Series, that's all I need. Whether there's two fans there or 20,000 in the stands, I'm going to play the same.
came definitely five game heat love root rooting sneak sports talk thursday within
I didn't like the way they came out the other night. I wanted them to come out like the Spurs, within the first five minutes, the game was over. I still think they are going to be all right. I'm kind of torn. I can't really talk about them too much here in Chicago. They love their sports out here. I have to root for the Heat silently around here. I'm definitely rooting for them, though. They play Thursday here, and we have an off-day. I'm going to see if I can sneak in there.
cardinals couple ourselves position stuff time whatever
Mentally, we just didn't get it done for whatever reason. Stuff went our way a couple times in the Cardinals series, and this time we didn't put ourselves in a position to have things go our way.
business control handle playing road teams trip
We're playing all the teams that are right there with us. You can handle your business and control your destiny. That's what you want to do in September. This is the road trip to do that.
performance pitching scrape three together
(When) you get a pitching performance like that, you want to get a win. We should be able to scrape together two or three runs, but we didn't get it done. Offensively, we have to get better.
balls couple hit home hopefully runs time tough
It's tough to hit home runs all the time or balls in the gap, so hopefully we can manufacture a couple runs.
