offense timely
They had the timely hits, and they made the most of their opportunities and we didn't. Our offense is a lot better than it's displayed.
amazing dad definition game son teach throwing wants watch
It's just amazing what he does. He's not throwing 94, 93 (mph). He's pitching. It's the definition of a pitcher. If a son comes to a game with his dad and his dad wants to teach him about pitching, watch Greg Maddux, because that's an art.
amazing throwing watch
It's just amazing what he does because he's not throwing 94, 93 mph. You watch Greg Maddux, that's an art.
ball both far games hitting pitchers playing sides winning year
It's just amazing. He's doing something this year I don't think a lot of pitchers have ever done as far as playing both sides of the ball, winning 21 games and hitting the ball the way he is.
game rhythm spring training work
It's just like hitting. I try to take one at-bat a game in spring training to bunt. You get into a rhythm with bunting, that's why I work on it.
battle behind catching guy hits played side trying waiting
I told him I was going to get him. I said, 'You think I was catching you just for your benefit? I was waiting for this day, too.' It's going to be weird, a guy you went to battle with and played behind so much, being on the other side trying to get hits off him.
balls couple hit home hopefully runs time tough
It's tough to hit home runs all the time or balls in the gap, so hopefully we can manufacture a couple runs.
believe luck people
I still don't think people believe in us. People want to think we're lucking it up on things. That's all right. We'll luck it up all the way through the World Series.
matter picked
You see them getting picked off one by one and you know that you're going to be one of them. It's just a matter of when and where.
cardinals couple ourselves position stuff time whatever
Mentally, we just didn't get it done for whatever reason. Stuff went our way a couple times in the Cardinals series, and this time we didn't put ourselves in a position to have things go our way.
performance pitching scrape three together
(When) you get a pitching performance like that, you want to get a win. We should be able to scrape together two or three runs, but we didn't get it done. Offensively, we have to get better.
ball fall looked wheels
From the stands, it looked we had everything in hand. All of a sudden, a ball here and a ball there and the wheels fall off,
amazing
He's doing something amazing out there this year,
came definitely five game heat love root rooting sneak sports talk thursday within
I didn't like the way they came out the other night. I wanted them to come out like the Spurs, within the first five minutes, the game was over. I still think they are going to be all right. I'm kind of torn. I can't really talk about them too much here in Chicago. They love their sports out here. I have to root for the Heat silently around here. I'm definitely rooting for them, though. They play Thursday here, and we have an off-day. I'm going to see if I can sneak in there.
