ball behind fall frustrated good news trying
I'm just trying to out think myself, I think. Then, when you do fall behind and you're not locating the ball well enough, it's always good news for the hitters. I'm frustrated right now.
chance consistent giving guys knew last pitcher proud
That's the one I was the most proud of from last season. Even when I was going through it, I knew it was kind of cool. I'm being consistent and I'm giving the guys a chance to win. That's what any pitcher wants.
looked prove trying
I think just being who I am and the way I have always looked at things and the way I got to the big leagues, always trying to prove myself ... now it's a part of me and the only way I know how to go about my business.
fastball throw
I thought I located my fastball pretty well. I made some mistakes, but for the most part I think I did pretty well. If I can throw like I did today, then why can't I do it in a week? We'll find out down the stretch.
al david guys hiding hype known might power
Man, Travis is good. He's got power to all fields. He might not get as much hype as David Ortiz or guys like that. He's been kind of been hiding in the AL Central. But he's well known to us pitchers.
catch kid strong
He's a big kid with long arms. I don't think he got it off the end of the bat. It had to catch a little barrel. But he's a big boy, a strong kid.
control guess learned lesson
I guess I haven't learned my lesson yet, that I can't control it.
chance fighting glad job team throw
(Phillips) is fighting for a job on this team and I'm glad I got a chance to throw to him.
ball belt control except felt last
I felt I had better control except for the last inning when everything went belt high. I think I located the ball a little better than the last time.
definitely improved
I feel like I've definitely improved each year.
control losses wins
When I was back with Baltimore, Sidney Ponson used to tell me that you can't control wins and losses but you can control 200 innings, ... Now, I'd like to get that.
ball couch finish good realize sit strong throwing winning wins
It's all about winning with me, ... I want to go out there and win. I realize I'm throwing the ball pretty well and I'm strong at the end of the year. But when the season's over and I sit on my couch I'll look back and if things finish out like they are, I'll feel pretty good about myself. But I can't sit and look at it now because the wins aren't getting done.
bad effort gave poor tough turnaround
It just got bad. The tough part is I gave up a four-run lead. It was just a poor turnaround and bad effort on my part.
bad counts decent fact four great halfway home line looks mistakes pitches runs
It looks like a halfway decent line but the fact that I made four mistakes and they jumped all over them for extra-base hits, it's just not acceptable. Those home runs were not acceptable, bad pitches in great counts for me.
