He's done everything there is to do in the Minor Leagues. Right now, there's just no spot for him in the big leagues.

Our fans are going to love this guy.
believe best felt innings life perfect pitcher pitchers smart worthwhile
He's pitched a lot of innings in his life and as with any pitcher it's not a perfect shoulder, but it's one we felt was a worthwhile risk. We've got to be smart in the way we use him but when he's right we believe he's one of the best pitchers in baseball.
bases club deal defense fits great hits pitching provides run
He fits the club very well. He provides a great deal of energy, he can play defense and run the bases and he hits left-handed pitching very well.
close happy leagues major relatively rush
We feel like he's relatively close but we also don't want to rush his progression to the major leagues just because we're so happy to get him.
It has to be the right player. You don't do it just to do it.
ball jumps unusual
He's just a man. The ball really jumps off his bat. It's unusual for someone that age.
absolutely best certainly direct gm knows maybe
He absolutely knows what he wants. He's very direct and to the point. He is certainly the best GM in my lifetime, and maybe of all time.
area arizona greater point year
He pitched well (as a starter) in Arizona and his first year in Toronto. He did well, and that at this point is a greater area of need for our club.
beyond both camp expect hopefully job learn lessons mature physically rather sooner win
He's mature beyond his years, both ways, physically and mentally. We didn't expect him to come in here and be overwhelmed by it. I think he'll learn a lot and he'll take the lessons and hopefully be in camp to win a job sooner rather than later.
adding bring excited gold himself orlando truly
I'm excited that we were able to bring Miguel Batista back to the Valley, where he truly established himself during his first stint here, while also adding a Gold Glove infielder in Orlando Hudson.
craig figure month obviously
I like our numbers. We have a month to figure out the right combination, and obviously we feel Craig will be healthy.
doctors spoke
The doctors spoke and we're comfortable with the information.
available bag became both defense gives guy middle offense player plays sides trying wealth
He became available because they have a wealth of infield talent. He has been a guy who has been a well-regarded prospect. He's a guy we like who is a middle infield player and potentially plays both sides of the bag and can switch-hit. He gives you offense and defense in the middle of the field, which is something we're always trying to find.
