It's a month left in the season, and I still remember what happened last year, and here we go again. Because I know it's a lot of people that have been waiting for me to go off again. I know that. And you know what? To be ruining what I've come so far this year, trying to clean my image, for somebody to write negative stuff that's not true, it's really hurting my career.

bat heal hopefully miss serious shoulder spring start step swinging three week
They told me I hopefully would start swinging a bat in the first week of spring training, but I'm not in a rush. That was a really serious injury. It was pretty much a reconstructed shoulder. It's going to take me a while to heal and get that shoulder strong. I'm going to take everything step by step, and when it's ready, it's ready. If I have to miss, you know, the first month, the first three weeks, I'm going to miss it.

A lot of people in baseball are trying to figure out how we can win. It's kind of tough. It drives people crazy. ... I don't know how we are still there. I think we should be in last place.

A lot of these umpires, they think that fans come to the stadium to see them. It's not right. Right now it looks like they have full power in baseball. They can do whatever they want and they get away with it.

This is the stuff that's really hurting me. I'm so emotional and so sensitive about all this stuff because of my past. It's been so great this year. I've been coming so far to be where I am and who I am and the reputation I've been getting this year, for somebody to start ruining this, it hurts.
