He's done so much but you guys haven't seen anything yet. I see talent and I told him early in the year that he was going to be so good. I could see just by watching him practice. Some of the things he would do were amazing. The scary part is he doesn't even know how good he is yet. He's not even close to his potential.

I don't think anybody we played compares overall. Alabama, we just played last week, has a lot of great athletes. That's probably the closest thing to an overall team full of athletes as Memphis.

We don't take a lot of bad shots. We just value the ball and try to take good shots. If that results in low scoring, then we'll take it.

That was the toughest practice of my career. The emphasis was just playing as hard as you could and really defending. That's what we've done. Sometimes we'll play in practice and neither team scores. There will be shot clock violations. We really defend.

That was our goal, to keep them off-balance all game. We did a phenomenal job of that. I can't even explain how incredible this feels. Besides the guys in the locker room and our supporters, no one believed we could do it. To work our butts off and go through adversity and injuries all year long and have it pay off, it feels incredible.

That says it all. The way we play on the defensive end. If you want to go back to November, it was nonexistent compared to what we do now. We're such a much better team. We're more of a collective unit. We play for each other. We've grown and gotten to know each other throughout the year.

I think our tradition really helps set the bar. Knowing that nothing but winning a national championship is accepted really helps us. We got to the Sweet 16, we got to the Final Four, but we won't be recognized unless we win that national championship. I don't think that adds pressure. I think that helps start the mission.

We never got going offensively but they didn't either. I know I didn't do anything special offensively, but I'm the happiest guy on the planet.
