expected remember
I remember being 2-0, and that's what I expected to be,
handle inmates leadership nobody running strong structure ups
In this league, you've got to have strong leadership; you've got to be able to handle the ups and downs, ... Nobody had been through the ups here. We didn't have that structure set up to back the leadership that was in place. The inmates were running the asylum.
substitute
In this league, there's no substitute for getting experience.
expected handed job
I never expected to come here and have the job handed to me.
cincinnati
Cincinnati was worse. They said Cincinnati was the quarterback graveyard, and I'm still alive.
challenge challenges likes love mentally minute
I'm one who likes a challenge mentally as well as physically. He challenges you with the system. I love every minute of it.
approach best guy number played politics
That's what they said, right now you're the guy in the huddle. When we go to the number ones, you're in there. That's the way I approach it. There's not going to be any politics played here with the new staff. The best guy is going to play. I feel comfortable where I'm at.
felt game hurry trying weird
It was a weird game. You felt like they were trying to hurry up and get the game over with, so they could get to (the playoffs).
bit interest quite
There's been quite a bit of interest. More than I expected.
guys
Other guys were shocked, ... It was discouraging.
ahead detriment fix happened last next road sentiment
There's no sentiment in it for me. We still have a long road ahead of us. I think it's important for us to play well and fix some of the things that happened to us last week, but not at the detriment of next week's game. We have to be smart.
almost best brought chance consider felt seeing tears terrible
I felt terrible for him. The only chance I got to see him was at halftime, and that was briefly. It almost brought me tears going in there and seeing him. I consider him my best friend. I felt terrible for him, to have to go down that way.
chance game glad hardest timing
The hardest thing for me is getting the timing back. But I was glad I had the chance today. If I go into a game in the postseason, then I feel like I will be more prepared.
