That guy uses a tree log for a bat. The pitch was down and away, I thought. But he got out in front of it.

It's definitely going to be different. Your body gets used to pitching every five days, six days. Sometimes, you can feel too good.
crowds people upsetting
It's been upsetting to see some of the crowds we've had, considering the way we've been playing, but you can't make people come out to the park. They've got things to do.
ahead approach attacking ball battling change four helped innings kept seemed strike throw throwing
It seemed like the first four innings I couldn't throw a strike to get ahead of a guy. But I kept battling and kept attacking and didn't change my approach throwing the ball at all and I think that's what helped out.

against bullpen deal hitters nobody rather somebody standing threw
I take it in stride. It's one of those things you have to deal with, you have to overcome. I went out and threw against some of my own hitters again, just so I could see somebody standing in the box, rather than a bullpen when nobody is there. It's tough. Nothing is like the real game.
baseball best happened happens kid moving time traded understand white
It happens all the time in baseball these days, trades, moving around. It happened to me in '98 as a young kid getting traded to the White Sox. It's business. You've got to understand that. If it would have happened, it would have happened and I would have made the best of it.
early giving pressure quick runs took
Going out and giving me some quick early runs took the pressure off me a little bit.

He wanted me to get out of there with a good start and in a good frame of mind.
