acting familiar people reason
Only in acting I'm going by Joanna JoJo Levesque. In singing, just JoJo. But the reason we wanted to go with JoJo Levesque is most people know me as JoJo. People that are familiar with me would still be like, 'Oh, that's JoJo.'
album both changed half personally record
I've been through a lot, both personally and professionally, and the album that I started to record two and a half years ago is a different album from the one that exists today. I even changed the album title. First it was 'All I Want is Everything,' and now it's 'Jumping Trains.'
boy experience played shakespeare since six wig
I've been acting since I was six. I actually played a boy when I was six in 'Tommy.' I played Tommy and they put a wig on me. They put up my hair and put this little boy wig on me and that was my first acting experience. Then I did some other professional theater. I did Shakespeare when I was older.
against easy fall feelings funk piece rut second sit
It's easy to fall into a funk and not want to exercise, or to really want that second piece of chocolate cake. I have to say, I fight against those feelings all year. But I try not to let myself sit in a rut like that.
familiar fascinated whether
I think every little girl is fascinated with mermaids whether you are familiar with 'Splash' or 'Little Mermaid' or things like that. I did remember the film but I didn't watch it going into 'Aquamarine.'
buy characters fully head sit strange tests three
In 'Me Before You,' the two characters popped into my head fully formed, which is really strange and unusual. Other books, I sit on them for two or three months. I have a whole routine: I buy a nice book; I hand-write all their characteristics. I put them through little tests just to see how they would react to things.
basketball game liked might passion pay plus time truth
I liked the up-tempo game better. It?s constant, plus at the time the pay might have been a little better than the other two. But the truth is I just had more of a passion for the game of basketball than I did the other two.
absolute community face gives help learned opportunity pass relay
I?m a face in the community for our organization, and I?m having an absolute ball. It gives me an opportunity to relay all the things I learned with the organization and be able to help pass them down.
kate layers love offer scenes seems time
I love 'To Kill A Mockingbird' - it seems to offer up new layers every time you read it. I also love Kate Atkinson's 'Behind The Scenes At The Museum' - that's the book that started me writing.
I try to read writers who are better than me because it inspires me to be better.
divide elements fairly floor head hear scenes several until work writers
Writers divide fairly cleanly into those who only work through what they hear and those who are more visual. I am the latter, where I lie down on my office floor and play scenes through my head to - cinematically, several times with different elements - to see what works. I can't write a scene until I can see it.
characters crucial files inside main paper pen personal until
Don't set pen to paper until you know your main characters inside out. Create files detailing their appearances, likes, dislikes, and personal background. You may not use all the information, but it is a crucial step in planning your story.
age appalled food quietly seem whether
We seem to live in an age where we are quietly appalled by the idea of appetites, whether they be for sex, food or diamonds.
brad coming macho man men muffin overlook prepared wonder
We want a macho high-earner - with the sensitivity of Gok Wan. We want a man with Brad Pitt's six-pack - but one who's prepared to overlook our own muffin top. No wonder most men don't know if they're coming or going.
