along decisions guys heads instinct mistakes start using win wrestling
I want our young guys to keep wrestling aggressively. They just have to start minimizing their mistakes and using their heads along with instinct to make the right decisions and win the match.
feather impressed judges solid style voted
It's a feather in his cap. The judges that voted were impressed with his style and his aggressiveness. He had a solid tournament.
consistent guys hopefully learn younger
They're consistent performers. Hopefully our younger guys can learn from them.
guys improved mean wins younger
It's not a one-shot deal. Just because one of our younger guys wins a match, it doesn't mean we improved - but we also didn't regress.
gave pins win
It's the same story, different day. We gave up pins and we lost. If we don't give up the pins, then we win the dual-meet.
intensity knew meet using wrestle
They've been using different kids. We don't know much about Brown, but we have to wrestle with just as much intensity as we would in a meet where we knew our opponent.
game great hard matter rest season
It's really hard to tell. He's having a great year, but if he doesn't have his game on that day - no matter what he did the rest of the season - he's not going to be an All-American.
best facing gave nation smart
D'Amico wrestled a smart match. He was facing one of the best heavyweights in the nation and he gave him all he could handle.
problem spots tough
They have a lot of tough guys. They're going to be a problem right up and down the line. There aren't any spots that we can just go out there and exploit.
improving keeps matches realize ryan starting steps takes time win
Ryan is starting to realize what it takes to win matches at this level. He keeps on improving every time he steps on the mat.
commitment dealing internal kids resolve trying
Right now we're dealing with some internal issues. We need to resolve them and try to keep working and keep trying to get a commitment from the kids that we have.
above close difference injuries lost meet pivotal record winning won
Right now we're a meet above the .500 mark. The difference between a 7-6 and 10-3 record is one kid. Every meet we've won or lost has come down to at least one pivotal match. With our injuries and other problems, we're just not winning close matches.
