My legacy as governor was UConn and the cities. This is my passion. When I was governor, I would call Waterbury the center of the universe.
We're really not any closer to solving the mystery, ... I would liken it to the 61-year-old woman in New York who contracted anthrax and died, and it's been a dead end.
My goal is to get through the next 48 hours with as little damage as possible and certainly keeping our community safe,
If indeed this is a positive report ... I'm shocked because I'm trying to figure out how it could have occurred. And that alarms me,
If children are reading well by the 3rd or 4th grade then everything else works.
We were told it was the storm of the century, ... I'd sure rather be sitting here with a couple of angry truckers than a couple of deaths.
The good news is as we continue to do tests in the postal facilities and at Mrs. Lundgren's home, we're finding that there's no trace of anthrax,
It's our hope that we'll be able to evaluate the northbound lane and determine whether that's going to be safe enough to maintain or if that has to come down too,
As society changes, laws have to change to protect citizens along the way. Sometimes you have to try new and different and creative ways to solve problems. You have to take some risks.
Competition among schools is always a great motivator.
It is not about the money. It's the public service aspect. Absolutely, I think it has qualities of redemption. The city gets a second chance. I get a second chance.
We're obviously focusing on the mail because that has been the cause of other anthrax scares in the past,
I plan on being a friend, a good leader and a good governor over these next three years.
I may not understand it or accept it, but the world is changing.
