heard quick tough whistle
It was a quick whistle, but it's tough to argue. I heard the whistle before it went in.
build guy shaping
You would think so. If you look at the way the team's been shaping up and the way things have been going, this team's about the future. You have to build for the future. You don't know how realistically a guy like me is part of the future.
came good hopefully locker mood
We came back here refreshed. Everyone's in a good mood in (the) locker room. Hopefully we can keep it up.
affected anyone associated experience guys handle talks team
Obviously, I've never been associated with a team for sale, that kind of thing, and I don't think many guys have. I don't think anyone has any experience on how to handle something like that. But it hasn't affected us. I don't think anyone even talks about it.
confident couple healthy pass quite stuff swing takes talked test tough until work
We've talked about how it's tough getting back in the swing of things the first couple of games. You're not quite up to speed. That stuff takes time. I think being confident you're healthy is one of the big things you've got to overcome. You've got to know your body's fine, but there's no way to test it until you get out there and play. Once you pass that test, things work well.
atmosphere games hang morale team win
Right now, any win is really big for us. Team morale has been pretty low, and it's important for us to win games and get that atmosphere going around here. We know that we can play the right way and hang on to a lead.
superstar
He's going to be a superstar in this league.
good great help job knows learn opportunity played superstar
He's going to be a real good player, a superstar in this league. It's a great opportunity for him to learn what's going on, on and off the ice. He's played a lot of hockey, so I think he knows when and where he's got to be careful. It's everybody's job to help him out.
hit knew
I don't even think Yashin knew he hit the puck.
heard
I haven't heard anything and haven't put a whole lot of thought into it.
guys obvious playing pride seeing
I don't think there's any pressure. It's pretty obvious we're not going to make the playoffs. It's about playing for pride and some self-respect, and that's why you're seeing guys play really hard.
good hard job loose lucky puck stick worked
I had the goalie on the play. It was a good job by everybody. We just worked hard for every loose puck and it was a lucky bounce. I just got my stick on it, fortunately.
best talked work
I think, obviously, there was some uncertainty as to what was going on around here. Now that it's over, you look around and this is what we've got and this is what we've got to work with. ... We kind of talked about it that we have to make the best of it.
believed guys
The guys really believed that we could come back.
