Sam McCausland, a freshman, had a great day. He was seventh and improved his personal best by over a minute. And Gerrett Swann did very well. He was ninth, and we're starting to close the gap with U-32. The last race they had five guys in front of my third guy and this time they only had three guys in front of my third guy. Inch by inch is a cinch, yard by yard is hard, but we'll see what happens in the future.

It was awesome for our girls. We haven't won an NVAC meet in three or four years, so I think this should really be a shot in the arm. And for our boys to be that close to U-32 is impressive. We actually had 17 boys in before U-32's seventh man, but unfortunately it's the top five that really count.
ahead far front ran talked
The two of them pretty much ran up front and talked to each other. They were just so far ahead of everyone else.
nice race ran together
Jess, Zari and Mallory were a nice little pack. They ran together most of the race.
broke country cross girl great race won
Holly did great it was the first cross country race she's won in a long time. She was pretty much even with the U-32 girl with about a kilometer to go and then she broke away.
