We wanted to stretch them out a little bit because we knew they were so big, they were going to be hard to pound with inside. We knew if we could get a lead and extend their defense a little bit, that would be to our advantage.

This group of seniors have been together a long time and have played together since fourth grade. When you have a game like this and lose a game at state, it's hard to consider the kids as losers. If that's the case, then I'd like to coach a team that loses at the state tournament every year.

I might be ugly, but I'm not stupid. I know that going 6-for-9 vs. going 0-for-6 is an 18-point swing you don't want to have. That makes a big difference.

She's a big player and she really needs to play big when we need it. Jodi's learned to trust her teammates and let the game come to her and understand that her teammates are good players and will be able to get her the ball and find her in key situations.

This is certainly one part of their dream. It's great that they were able to achieve it. They deserve a lot of credit for being able to bounce back from (the loss to) Mosinee. I was very proud of how they reacted and came out and played.

I think we're a pretty tough team to prepare for because we're balanced, but when you really need a play, you've got to have someone you can go to. Jodi's definitely been a go-to player for us.

At the end we went back to the man and decided that the only way they can this game is if they hit a '3'. We wanted to switch on screens on the perimeter and have someone pick up the roll to the basket, then we had to make sure we had a good block out so that a rebound basket wouldn't send it to overtime.

I'll be putting in a long night to get some homework done on our opponent. All season, we have worked on doing what we do best and I don't think we'll have a problem with the quick turn.
