I am excited to bring someone of Brian's personal and professional caliber to this new position. His commitment to this organization, to this sport, and to this community is special. As our Director of Soccer Development, Brian's responsibilities range from coaching and scouting, to competitive analysis, to serving as our bridge between the team and the front office.
dangerous easy expect good great hang happy hoping individual obviously spain team tying watching
Sierra Leone is a very dangerous team with great individual players. After watching them play a very good Spain team and tying 3-3 we did not expect an easy match, but we were hoping we would be able to hang in there defensively and then come away with the win. So, obviously we are very happy with the result.
addition looking player somewhere teams three trying whatever
With the addition of these three players, we're a better team. And that's the excitement. And if we can find another player somewhere on in the season, we'll look at that too. You have to keep looking. Other teams are still looking for players. Teams are still trying to do whatever they have to do to get better.
difficult good last san team
It's not going to be easy. We know it's going to be a difficult challenge; San Jose was a very good team last year.
anywhere created easy effort goals good possession stop teams until
Effort was good, possession was very good ... we created a lot of chances. (But) we're never going to go anywhere until we stop all the easy goals that go in. We just make it too easy for teams at times.
lake positives salt team
The positives are, there is a team in Salt Lake City. And the fans; we've been received.
bad ball bounce couple definitely feels frustrated games good happening punished teams work
We feel -- and probably Chivas feels the same way too -- you definitely get punished for your mistakes. Good teams make the ball bounce their way and sometimes we get frustrated with it not happening for us. We've had a couple games where we've said, 'Nothing bad is going to happen, we're going to make our own breaks,' but to actually say that and then play that way, it doesn't always work out.
definitely match pride team themselves work
They said they didn't play 'United soccer,' ... They pride themselves on their work ethic. They're definitely a hard-working team and we'll have to match that.
added chart deeper depth group improve overall players size speed team trying
As a group of players I feel that our depth chart is much deeper this season. We went about trying to improve our team speed and size and added overall better players with these additions.
good itself talent team win work
D.C. is a very good team that prides itself on its work ethic, ... I've already said that if you've got talent and if you work hard, they're going to win a lot of games.
far level produce product several talent team worked
So far it's worked well on several fronts. We have better team chemistry, the talent level is up and we will be able to produce a better product on the field.
calm effect front good organizer settling team
He's very good as an organizer in front of him, he communicates very well. He has a calm demeanor, that has a settling effect on a team defensively.
anywhere easy effort stop teams until
The effort was there, but we aren't going anywhere until we stop all the easy goals. We just make it too easy for the other teams at times.
games guys reserve reward senior time
We try to reward those guys who play well in reserve games with time in the senior games.
