We know we'll have to raise our level of play. Russ (Penn State coach Rose) always has his team prepared. I have a lot of respect for them. If you lose to Penn State, it's not a loss to hang your head.

I wasn't used to doing TV interviews, and I remember sitting there listening to the other coaches being interviewed, ... I was in awe. I had a good seat because I was going to be next and they asked him how do you expect your team to do and how do you rate the teams. I remember the coach saying, 'There are three teams here with a chance to win.' I knew he had to be talking about our team as the team that didn't have a chance.

He's a good guy. Also, there's a respect thing. When you're young you want to get to know somebody like that because he already had the reputation of being a very good game coach.

We came because we have a young team, ... We thought there'd be other teams that would be extremely good. If you win here, it's not the end-all, and if you lose, it's not the end-all either.

What a great atmosphere for volleyball. What a great crowd, and it was good to see so many young people watch the match. Tonight we served and passed really well, and put pressure on New Hampshire. The Wildcats are a good team.

I thought we were loose, ... and that gave us the advantage because New Hampshire probably was a little tight to start with. And then it's all dominoes.

They're really good. They have a great chance to be in the final four, and we hope to be there, too. I think we showed tonight that we're not too far behind.

I think there was a point in his career where that would have killed him. Now, I don't think he thinks about it too much. He wants it as bad as anybody and you don't temper that feeling by also being OK with where you are. His team knows how bad he wants to win and they probably have a better chance now because he doesn't put as much pressure on them as he used to.
