great half rather running saw
I thought the first half was rather exciting. I saw some great things out there with our running game, which is what I wanted to see.
character coaches developing faster forming frank good great help high mark offense players praise relationships reputation spoken
Mark has a great reputation for developing players and forming relationships with players. He has good character, and other coaches that I have spoken with have nothing but high praise for Mark. His familiarity with Frank and the offense here will help with the transition, and we can be better faster because of his knowledge.
deception form forms gears great job last option pressure puts ready shifting totally triple
We're going to have to do a great job shifting gears in getting ready for something that's absolutely, totally different from what we've faced, ... It puts pressure on everybody. It is another form of the triple option. The forms of deception that they have with their form of the triple option is unique. It was last year, and it is this year.
challenge chance compete fans football great marquee places players program schedule teams time win
We've got a schedule that makes sense. We have marquee teams on the schedule. It's one I think is very workable and one our players will enjoy, our fans will enjoy. It allows us to compete in the ACC and have a chance to win some non-conference games, but at the same time challenge our program and go to some places with great football tradition.
clock great guess guys holding kids laugh nobody plenty responsibility run saw teaching time
You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.
change great
He's strong. He has great change of direction, and he can run.
basketball beat coach country fact forget greatest head highlight locker room teams
I'll never forget the fact that he was in our locker room after that game, ... Never. That's a highlight of my life. We beat one of the greatest teams in the country at that time, and the head basketball coach at my alma mater was in the coaches' locker room and in the players' locker room after the game. It doesn't get any better than that for me.
career great pounds running stays
That's what you look for in a running back, ... He doesn't look really big. He's 185 pounds right now. If he stays on course, he could have a great career here as a running back.
arthur bright chance couple great intense played playing plays program team
It's time. Arthur played a couple of plays the other day, and he's going to be playing much more significantly this week. He's been in our program a long time. He's a very bright kid, he's an intense kid, he's a great team player, and now is his chance to go out and play some football.
great kids relationships
It's great to have those relationships and great to have those kids on our campus,
angry coming field tape watching
The only thing that was really disappointing to me was the penalties, after watching the tape again. I was really disappointed about that coming off the field and still am angry about that. But other than that, I thought we got a lot done.
buzz charge good guys happen happened program
There is a buzz about our program right now. A lot of good things have happened during the spring, and now what has to happen is our guys need to take charge and make things happen.
excited four game games luxury playing
To me playing the game is what's most important. We don't have the luxury of playing four preseason games. We don't have the luxury of playing 16 games. We've got 11 games to get it done. Right now my focus, obviously, is that this is game week, and we're all excited about that.
game running runs
We had 17 runs by the running backs; that's not enough in the game to win,
