action division flow football level played runners
We had two runners out there that hadn't played football at the (NCAA) Division I level in a long time, ... One never and the other one hadn't played in two years. So that's probably going to take some live action to get into the flow of things.
emotions kicked played stomach third tough
We played with a lot of emotion, then got kicked in the stomach in the third quarter. It's a tough one.
accustomed ashamed certainly flags fly seen thrown
The penalties, I've never seen so many flags fly in a game, ... That was certainly different than what I'm accustomed to being around. Obviously, one was thrown on me, and I'm very ashamed of that.
came emotion game high leadership necessary players team
We had one blip where we did not have the emotion necessary to play this game at a high level. What's important is that the team regrouped, the leadership came through, and the players came back.
bottom home opener season

clock great guess guys holding kids laugh nobody plenty responsibility run saw teaching time
You know, it makes me laugh because I've got two great kids out there holding and kicking, and I think they went out there and thought they had all day -- like it was in practice, ... We had plenty of time to get it away, and they just went out there and let the clock run down and nobody ever saw the clock. I guess I'll take responsibility for that for not teaching those guys to look at the clock.
continue head teach
We got to continue to teach them to not use their head as a battering ram.
great kids relationships
It's great to have those relationships and great to have those kids on our campus,

I meet with them every single day, ... So if I seem a little goofier next year, you'll understand why.
excuse looking reasons
I'm not looking for excuses, I'm looking for reasons to win.
early football kept lose poise proud second team
I'm really proud of this team because they kept playing. They didn't lose their poise after going down early in the second half. I think that's just a characteristic of our football program.

I'm sure some of them were very disappointed,
best both brings build carolina dave efforts ethic fresh ideas impression improve last lead locally north quite recruiting season style success work
I want to build upon the recruiting success we had last year, and Dave Brock is the best person to lead our staff. His style and work ethic made quite an impression during his first season and he brings fresh ideas that will only improve our recruiting efforts both locally in North Carolina and nationally.
