chip coming good knew practice prove shoulder
We had a chip on our shoulder coming into practice. We wanted to prove something, because we knew how good we were.
along arizona attend attractive family games growing heart knew offers season sort state though tickets watch
My family had season tickets to Arizona State games, so I would attend all those games, but I would also try to watch as many BYU games as possible. It's become sort of like the 'Rudy' story, growing up and going to BYU. Even though there were attractive offers from a lot of Pac-10 schools, in my heart I knew all along that this was where I wanted to be, that this was the right place for me.
knew
I immediately knew -- it's got to be downtown.
building came enhances everywhere fit knew loft people popping saw though visit
I came down here to visit the area.... I saw all the building going on, and I knew it was popping off. What we have enhances the loft home, though people have come from everywhere to visit. But we fit in here.
ballgame fired fix mistakes
We have to be upbeat, find the things that we made mistakes on and fix them and go into this ballgame fired up.
biggest changed few
We've changed a few things (offensively), but the biggest change has been in the way we work,
grasp plays takes top
We got a grasp of what it takes to play a top 10 team. We had our moments, but we didn't make enough plays to get it done today.
fail grateful
You don't know how grateful I am I didn't fail you.
changed
We try not to have anything red. They just changed it this year.
Obviously, we're disappointed in ourselves, because we know we can be a high-powered offense.
adjust ball certain defense dictates five guys plays receiver route running specific throws whereas whoever
So many of these plays are set plays, where it's five guys running their specific route and the quarterback throws the ball to whoever the defense dictates is going to get the ball. Whereas in the past, it was each receiver would do certain things to adjust his route to try to get open.
losing stand
Losing is frustrating, especially when you're up. I can't stand losing.
knowing stuff
We were confident, knowing we'd come back. I thought we were going to win it. Stuff happens.
life students teach
I was influential in his life and I didn't know it. If I had 50 students like him I would want to teach forever.
