I've been real proud. When they became out of the playoffs, they could have folded. Instead, they've really come together as a team, especially in the last two weeks.

People should not judge us on where we stand at the beginning of the season. If we start 3-7 in our first 10 games, it's OK if I see promise.

We didn't lose a district game at home last year. I'm glad we open up here.

We'll be pitching by committee for awhile. I don't think we'll have any complete games for our first six or seven games.

It was a great way to end the season. I've been fortunate to have several good ball clubs in my career. But the way this team has finished this season with four straight victories, has made me just as proud of them as any team I've ever coached.

We tried something different on Monday and Thursday. We used four cages and the machines had four different types of pitches. We had lots of repetition, lots of cuts.

With the wind that was blowing, I didn't see how he could throw strikes, but he did. I'm very proud of what Josh Reed did.

This has been frustrating, but as a team, they're playing with good effort. If they keep going, good things will happen in the future.

Pitching depth is a concern, but it should be better now that we're playing two games a week instead of six.

I knew this team was going to get better as the season progressed. The last three weeks, they have really played lights out. I'm very proud of them.
