carry challenge confidence extra feeling great late matter maybe next
I've been feeling great all year. It was just a matter of having that extra confidence to go out there and challenge people. Maybe it's a little too late in the season, but it's something I can carry over to next year.
good happen later maybe pitcher system time
We've all been there. Maybe it'll be good later that he's getting it out of his system now. Every pitcher who's ever been out there has had that happen at one time or another.
biggest others personally pitcher proven respect
Every season's big. I don't want to say it's my biggest year. But ... personally I want others to respect me as a proven pitcher in this league.
came next turning
That was the turning point. Then we came back the next inning and scored some runs.
guys learn playing throwing
I was playing catch-up all year. But I'm not making excuses, because even if you're throwing 85 or 86 mph, you can still get guys out. You just have to learn from your experiences and improve.
balls eight felt strikes threw throwing
I was throwing strikes and getting ahead. All of a sudden, I threw like eight (nine) balls in a row and I was like, 'What's going on?' I felt fine. I don't know what happened.
balls counts kept running
I was getting by, but I was running a lot of long counts 3-0, 3-1. Then in that one inning, the fifth, they got a lot of balls, like grounders, through on me and they just kept doing it.
tough
But we had a tough battle. And we'll get them tomorrow.
arm feels good
I feel like I'm ready. My arm feels good and I'm excited. So it's going to be a lot of fun, not just for me. But I think for all of baseball.
continue games hopefully next people puerto round spring starts strong taking toward training
It starts from here, taking it back to Spring Training and go toward April. I like to have a strong start and go out there continue it. Hopefully we can get these two games out of the way and go on to the next round for us and for the people of Puerto Rico.
days hit throw
It was one of those days where everything you throw up there, they hit it or it's a ball.
settled
It's been a frustrating year. I've been down, then up. I never settled into a place to be steady.
ball ballpark blowing good hit wind wood
I wanted to put the ball in play and he put good wood on it. It was a sinker. ... He hit it to the right part of the ballpark and the wind was blowing that way.
ball seeing
They were seeing the ball like it was a basketball.
