Most of the time, when we play, the other teams have better athletes, but our players understand if we go out and play fundamental basketball we have a chance to win.

We won the conference championship, made it to the Upper State semifinals and won two playoff games at home. Our players deserve the credit because they worked hard and played as a team.

I've said it all season and it's getting old. When Joe's not in there, we have to have somebody step up for us.

That was motivation for us to win the region title on their home floor. It would have been nice to have won it at home, but to win it there was special, too.

We had our chances too, because we got to the foul line, but didn't convert. That makes it pretty tough because we have lost some tough games this season. It's an area I hope we can solve by the time we begin region play because that is when it counts the most.

We came out a little flat and it took us a while to get going. That's not what we wanted to do, but once we settled down, we started playing our game.

Despite a poor fourth quarter on the offensive end, we still had a chance in the final seconds, but missed free throws and other opportunities hurt us. It was disappointing because this was a game we could have won.

We didn't have any answer for their defense in the second half. It felt like they had eight guys out on the court guarding us.

I thought we did a good job on him, but he got hot. We kept a hand in his face, but he just made some big shots for them.
