That's my responsibility and obviously we wanted to be much more productive than we were in the playoffs. That'll be one of the things we look hard at.
That's never been done before in the NFL, so you'd have to say that this team is going to play a lot of close games, ... It's been phenomenal all the way across the board. They go after it super hard. Whether it's on offense, defense or special teams, they make key plays when they have to late in the game.
That's my responsibility. Obviously we wanted to be much more productive than what we were in the playoffs. We always each year try and look real hard at everything, and that'll be one of the things we look real hard at is, offensively, how can we do a better job.
You're hoping for a new CBA because it frees up a lot of money for all of us.
You never know what's going to happen, but our goal is to keep everything together. We have a lot to do trying to get ready for next year and continuing to add to our team and continuing to build something. I know we have the right kind of character and right kind of players to build around.
You're always nervous about (losing Taylor). It would be real struggle for us (without him). I know what Sean says happened and what his group says happened. I think he is concerned about it and I think he felt like there is not much he can do about it now. He's kind of put it in other people's hands. You look a guy that big and that mature-looking and (you forget that) he's really young. He was real cooperative, much more open and friendly last year, and I think he had a heck of a year. I think he genuinely thought about (skipping the 2005 off-season workout program) and won't make some of those mistakes.
They did some things early on in there that threw us some curve balls. On defense, they did a real good coaching job on that part. We had to kind of struggle to get things going again, but we did control the ball, which is a big deal.
They are a very good football team over there. They are No. 1 in many categories and we were trying everything we could.
This is the most accurate our team has been since I can remember. It wound up being one of those games you dream about.
As far as competitive athletic wins and having great thrills, this ranks right there with them. For me, it was so much emotion and everything wrapped into it where the team was and all the things that have taken place. And for that to be Monday night and to know it was the Dallas Cowboys, you roll all that into one, it was very emotional.
This is an exciting thing for us. One of the biggest things here is we want to keep our coaching staff. It's very important to us. Gregg was willing to extend his contract.
This is really a heck of a mess you left me in.
This is something that is extremely hard, ... You don't like doing this. I don't. Sometimes you don't chart the circumstances or what happens - it just happens. Certainly it wasn't the plan I had going in, but sometimes plans change, and I think you do the best you can in dealing with it.
This is something that is extremely hard, ... You don't like doing this.
