I've never seen that level of retro pay. The whole notion of retro pay is a relatively new issue for the airline industry.

I don't know who they are, or know anyone who knows who they are. They don't seem to show anything to back up those offers. I just don't understand the notion they're creating value with this currency that can be used to buy other airlines.

My understanding is that the single greatest gap is on the Delta Express issue. Management is saying we need to enlarge it, and pilots saying we don't want it at all. That's a pretty big gap, so I'd be surprised if they reach an agreement today.

What really needs to happen is for Northwest, Delta and Continental to become two airlines. But I don't know how you get there. I don't think anyone does anything fast.
